Aboard a Privately Chartered Qantas 737
WELCOME ABOARD!
It is my pleasure and honour to be in command of your Constellation Journeys Around the World holiday. This will be the “swan song” world charter for the Boeing 747 as it will be retired from the Qantas fleet in late 2020. That in itself makes this journey unique compared to all others that have gone before.
During my career with Qantas I’ve flown all of the Boeing 747 variants plus the Boeing 767 and have previously held senior management roles for pilot recruitment and training for the Qantas Boeing fleet.
My great Qantas crew and I will be taking you to some of the most unique spots on the planet through the fantastic itinerary
that has been put together by the Constellation Journey’s team. This itinerary will make the most seasoned traveller envious.

YOUR AIRCRAFT
A Qantas 737 is the perfect aircraft to fly you to the far flung regions of Australia. The aircraft’s range means there’s no need to bunny hop between destinations, our Boeing 737-800 flies directly from one place to the next. Even better, it flies to a schedule we choose.
Whether you choose Business Class or Superior Class, there’s plenty of space. In Superior Class (Economy Class cabin) you have a vacant seat or aisle between yourself and the next guest – plus a seat rotation system ensuring the “best” locations are fairly distributed.
An enhanced bar and meal service is provided to all guests – premium Australian wines, beers and spirits accompany chef curated meals.
And for a bit of nostalgia, the actual Qantas 737 we fly aboard is known as the “Retro Roo”, a modern 737 with an external design reminiscent of the Boeing 747s from the 1970s.

The Qantas flight and cabin crew have been selected for their skill, expertise and attention to detail – you’ll be flying with the airline’s best.
The crew become part of your journey, welcoming you back on board after your visit to each destination. On board dining will be overseen by a catering expert, who liaises with local suppliers in each location to bring you local flavours and fresh produce.
