This remarkable expedition takes you deep into the pristine wilderness of the High Arctic, where immense glaciers, drifting pack ice and breathtaking polar landscapes create an environment unlike anywhere else on Earth. Along the way, there are opportunities to encounter iconic Arctic wildlife and experience the profound silence and beauty of one of the planet's last great wildernesses.
More than simply reaching a destination, this is a journey of exploration, discovery and privilege—an unforgettable adventure to the very top of the world.

ITINERARY
WEDNESDAY 16 AUGUST
Arrive Paris
Welcome to Paris! This evening, meet your Tour Host and fellow travellers for a welcome dinner, the perfect opportunity to become acquainted before embarking on one of the world’s most extraordinary journeys.
THURSDAY 17 AUGUST
Paris / Longyearbyen / Embarkation
This morning we transfer to the airport for our charter flight to Longyearbyen, the remote capital of Norway’s Svalbard archipelago. Located far above the Arctic Circle, Longyearbyen is one of the northernmost settlements on Earth. On arrival, transfer to Le Commandant Charcot and settle into your luxurious accommodation before we set sail into Arctic waters.
FRIDAY 18 AUGUST
Along the Coast of Spitsbergen
Our expedition begins as we cruise along the dramatic coastline of Spitsbergen. Towering glaciers, rugged mountains and vast wilderness landscapes provide a spectacular introduction to the High Arctic. Keep watch for seabirds, whales and perhaps even the first sighting of a polar bear as we venture northward.
SATURDAY 19 AUGUST – TUESDAY 22 AUGUST
Through the Arctic Pack Ice
Over the coming days, Le Commandant Charcot demonstrates her remarkable icebreaking capabilities as we journey through a world of shifting sea ice and frozen horizons. Conditions continually evolve, making every day unique. Accompanied by expert naturalists and expedition leaders, we search for Arctic wildlife while enjoying lectures and observations from the comfort of one of the world’s most advanced exploration vessels. Opportunities may arise for Zodiac excursions, guided landings, kayaking and other expedition activities as conditions permit.
WEDNESDAY 23 AUGUST
The Geographic North Pole
Today we hope to achieve what very few travellers ever experience – standing at 90° North, the Geographic North Pole itself. Reaching the northernmost point on Earth is a truly remarkable achievement and a moment worthy of celebration. Weather and ice conditions permitting, there may be an opportunity to step onto the sea ice and savour this extraordinary accomplishment surrounded by the frozen Arctic Ocean.
THURSDAY 24 AUGUST – SUNDAY 27 AUGUST
Southbound Through the Ice
Our return voyage offers fresh perspectives on this magnificent polar environment. As we navigate south through the ice, there are further opportunities to encounter seals, whales and polar bears in their natural habitat. Each day brings new discoveries as the expedition team seeks out the best possible experiences based on prevailing conditions.
MONDAY 28 AUGUST
Svalbard Exploration
Back within the Svalbard archipelago, we devote time to exploring some of the region’s most spectacular scenery. Deep fjords, immense glaciers and dramatic mountain landscapes create unforgettable vistas, while Arctic wildlife remains a constant possibility. Expedition activities may include Zodiac cruises and guided shore landings.
TUESDAY 29 AUGUST
Longyearbyen / Paris
Our remarkable Arctic adventure concludes as we arrive back in Longyearbyen. After disembarkation, transfer to the airport for our charter flight to Paris. On arrival, transfer to our luxury hotel for a final evening together in the French capital.
WEDNESDAY 30 AUGUST
Depart Paris
Our journeys concludes today with memories of one of the rarest and most exclusive travel experiences on the planet. Head for home or continue your travel in Europe.
EXPEDITION ITINERARY
As with any true polar expedition, flexibility is an essential part of the experience. Our itinerary has been carefully planned, however the final route, landings and activities will always be determined by prevailing ice conditions, weather, sea state and navigation opportunities. Wildlife sightings and shore landings cannot be guaranteed, as nature ultimately dictates each day’s possibilities. The experienced Captain and Expedition Leader will continually adapt the voyage to maximise opportunities, so we encourage you to embrace the unexpected and enjoy the unique sense of discovery that defines an Arctic expedition.
