Begin with two nights in Auckland, with time to enjoy this vibrant waterfront city and beautiful Waiheke Island before boarding the ship. As we sail south, discover the varied landscapes, scenery and coastal character of New Zealand, with carefully selected excursions bringing each destination to life. Across the Tasman, the journey continues towards Australia, culminating in the spectacular arrival into Sydney Harbour.

THURSDAY 10 FEBRUARY
Arrive Auckland
Arrive in Auckland and transfer to the Park Hyatt Auckland. Settle into your surroundings before a welcome dinner this evening, providing the opportunity to meet fellow travellers and begin the journey together.
FRIDAY 11 FEBRUARY
Auckland & Waiheke Island
After breakfast, travel by ferry to Waiheke Island, a beautiful retreat just offshore from Auckland. Enjoy a scenic exploration of the island, taking in its rolling countryside, coastal scenery and charming villages, with time to visit some of its renowned vineyards and experience the relaxed character for which Waiheke is known. Return to Auckland before dinner at one of the city’s waterfront restaurants.
SATURDAY 12 FEBRUARY
Auckland & Embarkation - Depart 7pm
This morning, we’ll explore charming Devonport, known for its village atmosphere, heritage character and views across Auckland Harbour, before joining Silver Moon. Enjoy lunch on board and settle into your suite, with time to familiarise yourself with the ship before sailing this evening. As Auckland recedes behind you, the journey across New Zealand and the Tasman Sea begins.
SUNDAY 13 FEBRUARY
Tauranga - Arrive 7am | Depart 6pm
Take an orientation drive through Tauranga, the principal city of the Bay of Plenty, before visiting the historic Elms Mission House, a beautifully preserved Georgian home dating from 1847. Continue to Te Puke, the heart of New Zealand’s kiwifruitgrowing region, where you’ll visit an orchard to learn more about this iconic fruit and enjoy a fresh tasting, accompanied by a traditional scone with kiwi jam and cream. Return to Silver Moon in the late afternoon and enjoy an evening on board.
MONDAY 14 FEBRUARY
Gisborne - Arrive 9am | Depart 6pm
Discover the character of the Gisborne region, travelling through beautiful countryside and visiting local wineries. Known for its sunny climate and fertile soils, the area has developed a strong reputation for wine production. Enjoy the opportunity to sample the region’s wines while taking in the landscapes and relaxed character of this corner of New Zealand before returning to the ship.
TUESDAY 15 FEBRUARY
Napier - Arrive 8am | Depart 5pm
Explore the distinctive Art Deco architecture of Napier and Hastings, discovering the fascinating story behind the architectural style that has become such a defining feature of the region. The elegant geometric forms and colourful façades provide a striking contrast to the surrounding landscapes, while the excursion offers an insight into how the cities were transformed following the devastating 1931 earthquake.
WEDNESDAY 16 FEBRUARY
Wellington - Arrive 9am | Depart 7pm
Discover Wellington, New Zealand’s compact and characterful capital. Explore the city’s attractive waterfront and distinctive central neighbourhoods while gaining an appreciation of its cultural and political importance. With its hills, harbour and lively atmosphere, Wellington offers a very different character from the destinations visited earlier in the journey.
THURSDAY 17 FEBRUARY
At Sea
With a full day at sea ahead, settle into the unhurried rhythm of life aboard Silver Moon. Perhaps begin with a leisurely breakfast, enjoy a treatment or fitness session, or simply find a quiet spot to read and watch the coastline slip by. It’s a chance to enjoy the journey as much as the destinations.
FRIDAY 18 FEBRUARY
Dunedin - Arrive 8am | Depart 6pm
Discover Dunedin’s distinctive Scottish heritage before travelling to historic Larnach Castle. Set amid beautiful gardens overlooking the Otago Peninsula, the castle offers a glimpse into the region’s colonial past and provides a memorable setting amid the surrounding scenery. Return to Silver Moon after exploring one of the South Island’s most distinctive cities and its picturesque peninsula.
SATURDAY 19 FEBRUARY
Stewart Island - Arrive 8am | Depart 6pm
Explore the small settlement of Oban and the beautiful bays and coastal landscapes of Stewart Island, one of New Zealand’s most remote and unspoilt destinations. Surrounded by forest, beaches and sheltered waters, the island offers a chance to experience a quieter and more natural side of New Zealand, far removed from its larger cities.
SUNDAY 20 FEBRUARY
Doubtful Sound & Milford Sound
Cruise through the spectacular fiords of New Zealand’s South Island, beginning with Doubtful Sound before continuing to magnificent Milford Sound. Towering mountains rise dramatically from pristine waters, with waterfalls and forested slopes adding to the extraordinary scenery. Enjoy this remarkable part of the journey from the comfort of Silver Moon as the ship makes its way through the sounds.
MONDAY 21 FEBRUARY
At Sea
Today we cross the Tasman Sea towards Australia. Take time to enjoy some of the pleasures of Silver Moon at your own pace, whether that means lingering over lunch, relaxing in one of the lounges or catching up with fellow travellers. As New Zealand fades into the distance, there’s plenty of time to simply enjoy being at sea.
TUESDAY 22 FEBRUARY
At Sea
Our day at sea offers another opportunity to enjoy Silver Moon at your own pace. Take a leisurely breakfast, settle into a favourite lounge, perhaps enjoy some time by the pool or simply watch the changing scenery as we sail towards Hobart.
WEDNESDAY 23 FEBRUARY
Hobart - Arrive 8am | Depart 11pm
Discover historic Hobart on a guided walking tour, from the waterfront at Constitution Dock to the Georgian warehouses of Salamanca Place and peaceful St David’s Park, learning about the city’s convict past and vibrant arts scene. This evening we enjoy an exclusive dinner ashore at one of Hobart's finest restaurants.
THURSDAY 24 FEBRUARY
At Sea
As we sail towards the Australian mainland, enjoy a relaxed day aboard Silver Moon. There’s time to revisit favourite spaces, enjoy the ship’s restaurants and lounges, or simply unwind and watch the coastline pass by.
FRIDAY 25 FEBRUARY
Eden - Arrive 7am | Depart 2pm
Explore the beautiful Sapphire Coast, discovering its picturesque coastal villages and enjoying the scenery of this spectacular stretch of New South Wales coastline. With its beaches, forests and sheltered waterways, the region provides a fitting final destination before the journey concludes in Sydney.
SATURDAY 26 FEBRUARY
Sydney - Arrive 7am
Explore the beautiful Sapphire Coast, discovering its picturesque coastal villages and enjoying the scenery of this spectacular stretch of New South Wales coastline. With its beaches, forests and sheltered waterways, the region provides a fitting final destination before the journey concludes in Sydney.
