This evening meet fellow travellers and your Constellation Journeys team for a casual welcome event at our hotel.

THURSDAY 22 FEBRUARY – HO CHI MINH CITY

Constellation Star CMYK.png

When in Ho Chi Minh City, do as the locals do. A fleet of expertly chauffeured Vespas await. Your personal driver expertly navigates you through the back streets to Tan Dinh Market.

Continue your exploration of the city including a serene Buddhist Temple, an exploration by foot of a typical Ho Chi Minh City neighbourhood and a stop at Reunification Hall.

A riverside lunch leads to a boat trip to the Cu Chi tunnels, an extraordinary underground network of tunnels used during the Indochina and Vietnam wars.

Returning to the hotel there is time to refresh before dinner at Coco Dining.

FRIDAY 23 FEBRUARY – JOIN AQUA MEKONG

Constellation Star CMYK.png

This morning join what is considered the premier ship on the Mekong River. And the best bit? The luxurious Aqua Mekong is reserved solely for the guests of Constellation Journeys.

Dinner tonight will be the first culinary treat of many to come. Famed Michelin starred chef David Thompson has curated the menu, while renowned cocktail designers Proof & Co call on local ingredients to offer a new spin on old favourites. Rest assured, first rate cuisine and drinks play an important role in the journey.

SATURDAY 24 FEBRUARY – MEKONG – VIETNAM

Constellation Star CMYK.png

Your morning begins at a mat weaving village before lunch aboard as we navigate the Mekong.  This afternoon find yourself in a typical village of the Mekong Delta. Walk through verdant plantations before being invited into a local home, tasting the region’s fruit and hearing traditional folk songs. If you’re feeling adventurous a bike ride through the countryside is an option.

SUNDAY 25 FEBRUARY – MEKONG CRUISING & LOCAL VILLAGES (CAMBODIA)

Constellation Star CMYK.png

Boarding the small skiffs that are carried aboard our ship we move along the canals, watching the local traders ply their wares from boats at Chau Doc floating market.  Travel by road to Long Son Pagoda, where monks cast a watchful eye over the town.

Return to our ship for lunch. Or if you prefer to work up an appetite, take an 18km bike ride along Long Khan Island or gain some insider foodie knowledge when you join our chef for a rickshaw ride to Tan Chau Market.

Cruising into Cambodia this afternoon you may wish to book yourself for a traditional Khmer massage or other treatment at the ship’s spa (additional cost).

MONDAY 26 FEBRUARY – MEKONG CRUISING & LOCAL VILLAGES

Constellation Star CMYK.png

Today we admire artisans dyeing and weaving kroma, the ubiquitous fabric no Khmer lives without. Stretch your legs with an optional cycle along the riverbank, past Buddhist temples and thatched houses perched precariously on wooden stilts.

This afternoon visit the timeless village of Preah Prosop, largely unchanged over many generations.

TUESDAY 27 FEBRUARY – PHNOM PENH

Constellation Star CMYK.png

Prepare yourself to re-enter city life as motorised tuk-tuks show you the highlights of Phnom Penh, the Cambodian capital.  See the Royal Palace, Silver Pagoda and visit the National Museum of Cambodia. Then choose from shopping at the Russian Market or a heart wrenching but unmissable visit to Tuol Sleng Museum of Genocide and the Killing Fields.

After dinner our group is treated to a private Khmer Aspara performance aboard our ship.

WEDNESDAY 28 FEBRUARY – MEKONG CRUISING & LOCAL VILLAGES

Constellation Star CMYK.png

Spend the day cruising Cambodia’s Mekong River, making several stops to absorb the local life including a silversmith village, a Buddhist meditation centre and Kampong Prasat, with its close up view of village life by the river.

This evening let your mixologist serve you sundowners using local ingredients like watermelon and Thai basil.

THURSDAY 29 FEBRUARY – MEKONG CRUISING & LOCAL VILLAGES

Constellation Star CMYK.png

Rise early and use the cooler morning hours to head into the lush countryside, visiting traditional potters and palm sugar producers.

Back cruising the glassy water we stop amongst the lotus flowers for an ox-cart ride along the Tonle Sap riverbank, past the lacquered houses of local villages.

Enjoy a festive final dinner aboard this evening.

FRIDAY 1 MARCH – SIEM REAP

Constellation Star CMYK.png

With a twinge of sadness, and a dose of excitement for things to come, we farewell the Aqua Mekong and fly to Siem Reap, gateway to the lost city of Angkor. Our home for the next two nights is the marvellous Raffles Grand Hotel D’Angkor. Evoking the golden age of travel, the Raffles combines history and class with all the modern necessities you expect of a five star hotel.

Dinner and a private performance of the Phare Circus troupe in the gardens of the Raffles rounds out the day.

SATURDAY 2 MARCH – ANGKOR WAT

Constellation Star CMYK.png

Early risers are rewarded by watching the sun rise over Angkor Wat. Or stay nestled in Egyptian cotton sheets a while longer.
After breakfast we return to explore the temples of Angkor Wat in more depth. The Angkor Wat temple complex was built in the 12th century and comprises of more than 1000 buildings.

It served as the royal centre for a dynasty of Khmer kings. As the world’s largest religious structure, each temple possesses a unique beauty and tells a story of its own, which expert guides reveal to you today.

With lunch back at our hotel the afternoon offers you a choice of unique experiences:

+ Explore the Grand Circuit of temples by Vespa
+ Visit the Kulen Elephant Project

Join fellow travellers and the Constellation Journeys team for our last dinner together. We don’t want to give anything away but the evening is sure to live long in your memory.

SUNDAY 3 MARCH – ANGKOR WAT
