ICELAND & GREENLAND
Join us on an unforgettable adventure – from Iceland’s creative capital to Greenland’s wild shores, finishing in the stylish heart of Scandinavia.
We start with a night in Reykjavík before boarding Silversea’s luxurious, expedition-ready Silver Wind. Over twelve thrilling days, we’ll sail past volcanic islands, sheer fjords, and colourful coastal villages. Keep watch for whales, seals, reindeer, and seabirds wheeling above dramatic cliffs and glacial backdrops.
Each day brings new discoveries – exploring by Zodiac, hiking across tundra, and gliding silently past sculpted icebergs. Evenings are all about indulgence: exquisite dining, fine wines, and the comfort of one of the world’s most refined small ships.
Our journey ends in Nuuk, Greenland’s vibrant capital, before a flight whisks us to Copenhagen. Two nights here let us soak in its culture, style, and warm hospitality – a perfect finale to an epic Arctic voyage.

Your Silversea Expedition is enhanced with numerous additional inclusions

ITINERARY
MONDAY 13 JULY
Reykjavik (Iceland)
Arrive in the world’s most northerly capital city, Reykjavik, late this afternoon. We come together at the Edition Hotel, located adjacent to the Harpa Concert Hall and steps from the main shopping street of Reykjavik.
Join fellow guests and your Constellation Journeys team for a welcome dinner at our hotel tonight.
TUESDAY 14 JULY
Reykjavik
Iceland serves up a sensory overload in all the right ways – everywhere you turn there’s eye-watering beauty adjacent to some of the world’s fiercest landscapes.
Lunar landscapes and spouting geysers fill our world today. Visit the site of the world’s oldest parliament, Pingvellir, and stand at the meeting point of two tectonic plates. Continue to the Geysir area, where the scenery gets explosive. Witness the extraordinary phenomenon of geysers spouting water into the air, some as high as 30 metres! Nearby is the impressive Gullfoss, one of Europe’s most magnificent waterfalls. Watch as the water thunders to the gorge below.
Our luxury expedition ship, Silver Wind, awaits later this afternoon. The ship offers an abundantly comfortable place to relax, while never taking you too far from the extraordinary environment that you’ve come to experience. Stepping aboard our ship you’re offered a glass of French Champagne while your butler takes your luggage to your suite.
Come together this evening with the Constellation Journeys group – get to know one another over a glass of wine and the first of many exceptional meals.
WEDNESDAY 15 JULY
Vestmannaeyjar
Awake to an archipelago off the south coast of Iceland, where only one of the 15 islands is inhabited, and even then, Heimaey is home to only 4,000 people. The island’s town was partially destroyed by a volcanic eruption in 1973 but saved when the lava flow was halted by icy sea waters.
Today you have three activities to choose from – all included – explore the island of Heimaey including the museum; walk through the harbour area then hike across the nearby lava fields; or join a smaller boat for a cruise to explore the archipelago up close.
THURSDAY 16 JULY
Cruising
A well-timed day at sea – giving you time to explore your new home. Feeling active? The Fitness Center has you covered. Prefer some pampering? The Zagara Day Spa has a trained therapist at your disposal. Otherwise, meet new friends in Dolce Vita over a coffee or unwind in the Observation Library as we cruise towards Greenland.
A group of expert naturalists journeys with us – they’ll add intimate insights to forays ashore and provide fascinating lectures aboard the ship. Today is a great opportunity to get to know the naturalists and the wild Arctic region in more depth.
Join your Constellation team in The Bar this evening before dinner – with drinks included you never need worry about whose shout it is.
FRIDAY 17 JULY
Prince Christian Sound (Greenland)
By this afternoon we will have reached one of the highlights of the voyage, Prince Christian Sound. The 100km-long fjord is flanked by snow-capped mountains and rocky cliffs. It may be cold, but those who rug up and stake their place on deck are rewarded by ethereal landscapes peppered by serenely floating icebergs.
Tonight and always, Silver Wind offers you a choice of four dining options. Where will you choose this evening? After such an exhilarating day you may wish to retire to your suite with room service or perhaps it’s the ideal opportunity to splurge on La Dame, the only restaurant for which there is a small additional cost.
SATURDAY 18 JULY
Tasermiut Fjord
Tasermiut Fjord is a 70km incision into the pristine wilderness of southwestern Greenland. Today is another day where you won’t want to stray too far from the deck or your suite’s balcony – the scenery is extraordinary. Jagged peaks sit perched atop sheer mountains, where the green of the lower lands yields to bare rock walls.
There will be plenty of opportunities to join the expedition team on Zodiac cruises on the fjord.
SUNDAY 19 JULY
Qaqortoq & Hvalsey
Far from the hectic pace of modern life we find ourselves in southern Greenland’s largest town, inhabited since prehistoric times. Rising steeply over the fjords, the views over the mountains, into the countryside and out to the iceberg-laden sea are enthralling. Explore the town of Qaqortoq or join the expedition team on a variety of Zodiac-based excursions.
Later today we stop by Hvalsey, the site of Greenland’s largest and best-preserved Norse ruins, Hvalsey Church. Built in the 14th century, it is one of the first churches on the North American continent.
After a breathtaking day our ship provides a haven of relaxation – and indulgence – where another evening of culinary excellence awaits. As on each evening, the Constellation team invites you first for a drink in The Bar, ensuring there’s always someone to accompany you to dinner if you wish.
MONDAY 20 JULY
Kvanefjord
Deep in remote Greenland you’ll awake amidst the scenic majesty of Kvanefjord. Bestowed with the gifts of nature’s splendour, the deep water has, for thousands of years, carved itself into the icy wall-like landscapes. With your knowledgeable expedition team on hand you’ll take in the stark beauty, all the while keeping a watchful eye out for marine life.
Back aboard the ship for a late lunch there will be time this afternoon to seek out the onboard experts whose in-depth knowledge will complement what your eyes have seen.
TUESDAY 21 JULY
Maniitsoq
We arrive back in civilisation this morning but with a population of less than 3,000 people it’s all relative. Discover the charm of the far-flung town of Maniitsoq this morning including its small museum and work by local artisans.
This afternoon Silver Wind continues along the coast of Greenland. Perhaps you might like to read up on the local folklore while enjoying a barista-made coffee or use the time to edit your photos in the onboard photo studio.
After another fabulous meal this evening, sink into the warm embrace of your bed with its luxury linen and individually controlled climate of your suite.
WEDNESDAY 22 JULY
Kuannit Point & Disko Island
Cruising into the iceberg-laden bay of Kuannit Point we may see breaching whales and, more commonly, abundant birdlife. This really is nature’s wonderland with glaciers spilling into the bay and geothermal landscapes peppered throughout the land. In the hands of the expedition team you’ll have plenty of opportunity to experience it all – from hikes ashore to see the otherworldly basalt columns to Zodiac explorations and even kayak adventures.
This afternoon we move to the remote and unexplored territory of Disko Island. Marvel at the extraordinary geological features including basalt cliffs, waterfalls, and canyons. Hikers are rewarded with an emerald-painted wilderness and dramatic vistas.
THURSDAY 23 JULY
Ilulissat
Ilulissat produces over 20 million tons of ice each day, so it’s no surprise that its name translates to “icebergs” in the local language.
While the town itself is the third largest in Greenland, it’s estimated the sled dog population is at least equal to the number of humans who call the town home. Today you can choose from a local boat tour viewing the surrounding icebergs or a stroll through the town accompanied by a local guide.
Back on board this evening, the flavours of the Italian La Terrraza, accompanied by a Tempranillo, might beckon.
FRIDAY 24 JULY
Sisimiut & Amerloq Fjord
Sisimiut is the intersection between the warmer south of Greenland and the frozen north. A large student population and colourful wooden houses bring a fresh vibe to a town that has been inhabited for more than 4,500 years. Take a walking tour, stopping to sample the cured meats and fresh seafood that Greenland is known for.
This afternoon brings you back to the spectacular natural landscapes at Amerloq Fjord. Soaring mountains, Arctic wilderness, and deep fjords surround you. Cruising the fjord this afternoon we’ll make the most of expedition opportunities aboard the Zodiacs.
SATURDAY 25 JULY
Evighedsfjorden
Evighedsfjorden bends, weaves, and dips for 75km – not counting its many branches. High mountains tower over the fjord while numerous glaciers have advanced and retreated over hundreds of years. As we cruise the fjord we’ll pause, as conditions allow, to take Zodiac and perhaps even kayak adventures.
Tonight is our last aboard Silver Wind. A festive farewell celebration is afoot this evening – with time to farewell new friends and exchange details to connect again on a future adventure.
SUNDAY 26 JULY
Copenhagen (Denmark)
Bid farewell to Silver Wind today and board a direct flight to Copenhagen. Arriving late afternoon, we check in to the elegant NH Collection Hotel, ideally situated for discovering the city’s charming canals and royal palaces, or simply soaking up its relaxed, stylish atmosphere.
We enjoy dinner at a local restaurant this evening.
MONDAY 27 JULY
Copenhagen
Step outside the front door of your hotel and set off on a guided walking tour through the heart of Copenhagen, taking in its elegant streets and lively squares. Stroll to Nyhavn, the iconic 17th-century canal lined with brightly painted buildings and historic wooden ships.
Pause for a delicious lunch of traditional Smørrebrød at the waterfront Replik, before boarding small boats. Your captains – colourful local characters – bring the city’s history and hidden tales to life as you glide along its picturesque waterways.
Our farewell dinner this evening is at the new Kilden I Haven restaurant, located within Copenhagen’s famous Tivoli Gardens.
TUESDAY 28 JULY
Depart Copenhagen
It’s time to bid farewell to Scandinavia and to newfound friends and head for home. Alternatively, extend your travel within Europe.
